Most truths are so naked
“Most Truths Are So Naked” is a physical performance that explores the extent to which we push boundaries when an absolute truth becomes a persistent echo in our world. The show draws inspiration from personal research in cults, delving into the impact of entrenched beliefs on human behavior and the boundaries of personal exploration.
With MOST TRUTHS ARE SO NAKED are Mute Comp. Physical Theatre and choreographer Kasper Ravnhøj examine the existential quest and rootlessness of humans, the fundamental need to belong, human susceptibility to manipulation, and the inclination to be consumed by a mass or an extremely religious community. The performance scrutinizes the dynamics at play when fanatic conviction, belief, and elaborate ritual worship transform into unhealthy power structures. In such hierarchies, individuals may accept mental and physical violence, murder, weapon use, and even the potential loss of their own lives.MOST TRUTHS ARE SO NAKED is grounded in equal parts personal experience, fascination, and a curiosity about what truly unfolds behind closed doors in religious communities.
The performance revolves around two young woman who disappear into a dark cult that communicates solely through body language and pain.
The play employs stunts and magic, manipulating the audience and constantly playing with the question of what is reality, using the audience as both participants and elements of the staged set.
In 2013, 2014 og 2015 Kasper Ravnhøj made 3 new produktions; focusing on life, death on life, death, existence, spirituality and religiosity.
