Sleepwalkers

War has been described as “an active state of confusion”. In a time of mounting global conflict, ‘Sleepwalkers‘ lends ambiguous and bloody form to our ambivalent relationship with violence as a species. It navigates the chaos of the human psyche, confronting the West’s own disturbed mentality, all while unraveling our dual capacity for aggression and compassion. Chaotic dream imagery emerges in a pervasive fog-of-war, as the performers merge dance, physical performance, stunts, martial arts, and live instrumental music in a grim vision that challenges us to make sense of the proverbial monkey on our back. This production is a collaboration between La Macana and Mute Comp. Physical Theatre, featuring an additional international cast of 11 performers.
